Quick Select

Filter Nichia options by the values that govern compatibility

Use this sequence to prepare a luminaire request. It narrows the conversation; it does not replace verification in the complete luminaire.

Three-step project finder

Move from the installed application to the mounting environment, then finish with electrical and controls performance.

1

Application

Choose commercial interior, retail and hospitality, industrial high bay, or outdoor infrastructure. Record duty cycle and maintenance access.

2

Mounting environment

Identify enclosed or remote mounting, ambient temperature, moisture exposure, cable arrangement, and the luminaire’s available thermal path.

3

Performance

Enter LED load voltage, output current, power, control protocol, dimming floor, input range, power-factor requirement, and surge strategy.

Luminous requirement

Start at fixture level

Target luminous flux in lm and luminous efficacy in lm/W describe different objectives. A lower-power solution still has to meet distribution, visual comfort, CCT, and CRI requirements.

Electrical load

Define the operating window

Record the LED module voltage range and required constant current rather than supplying nominal watts alone. Allow thermal and production variation before confirming regulation margin.

Mounting & protection

State the actual enclosure

IP65, where applicable, describes a tested protection condition. Connector choice, luminaire sealing, orientation, and ambient temperature remain separate checks.

Control interface

Name the system

DALI-2 and 0-10V differ in wiring, addressing, feedback, and commissioning. State the desired dimming range and behavior after mains interruption.

Power quality

Coordinate the electrical system

Power factor, total harmonic distortion, inrush, and surge protection should be reviewed at the expected load and input voltage; component data cannot predict every branch-circuit condition.
